For Lizzy, passion is what propels her, whether she’s on the football pitch or behind a piano, creativity and energy come naturally. Though she first began kicking a ball around with her brother for fun, it was at Sherborne Girls that her love of football truly came to life. Joining the school’s team in U5, she quickly discovered a sport that challenged and inspired her in equal measure. In those early days, she admits she relied on instinct alone, powering through the pitch without much thought for tactics or timing. But Sherborne’s coaching and teamwork have transformed her play. “I used to just power through the pitch with the ball without really knowing what I was doing but SG taught me how to effectively use my skills and actually dribble and pass properly”.

That mindset shift has paid off. Now Vice-Captain of the football team, Lizzy channels her passion into purpose, supporting younger players and setting an example of teamwork and commitment. “Being Vice-Captain means a lot to me,” she says. “I hope I can inspire other girls and show how important teamwork is in sport. Working alongside Camila and Kath is a privilege as they are both great players and we all learn from each other.” |

Off the pitch, Lizzy’s creativity takes on a different rhythm. Music has long been part of her life, but in recent years it has become her greatest form of self-expression. She began writing songs in childhood, but her passion deepened at Sherborne Girls, where she wrote and produced her first full song in L5, later releasing it publicly under her stage name Elizabeth Knight. The track, titled “Stranger”, is now available on Spotify and marks the beginning of an exciting artistic journey. |
