Transformative Education
We believe education can define the future. We live in a fast-changing world, with many challenges and opportunities. So we form our pupils to deal with uncertainty, lead change, and make a difference.
We blend academic excellence with character formation to shape the future – for our pupils and the people they meet. We deliver individualised learning through which boys uncover their strengths, release their potential and grow in self-belief.
Our integrated approach helps every boy find his own path. He joins a vibrant full-boarding community with wellbeing at its core in which everyone’s talents are nurtured and celebrated. He receives stimulating teaching that challenges him to think critically and creatively. He uncovers his uniqueness and becomes more fully himself.
Thanks to our close partnership with Sherborne Girls, we blend the focus of single-sex classrooms with the social benefits of a coeducational setting. We offer our pupils the best of both worlds, with a sense of belonging shaping their daily lives.
Beyond the classroom, pupils explore a full range of co-curricular pursuits, including sport, music, drama, CCF, leadership programmes, outdoor activities, and regular social events. Through these experiences, boys develop the depth and consistency of character to thrive in an uncertain world.
The Sherborne difference
Our transformative education stimulates and inspires, stretches and affirms. It inculcates habits of being that stay with pupils for the rest of their lives.
As a result, our pupils leave Sherborne empowered to shape the future. They are people of substance who can be relied upon to make wise decisions, embrace change, and lead with purpose. Their character shines through, allied with the intellectual confidence to challenge, innovate and inspire others.
I find it such a privilege to lead this community as it forms young people for a flourishing future. Please join us as we seek to be the difference in education, character formation, and society.
